It is such a blessing to be in Kansas City, surrounded by brothers and sisters in faith as I heard the news of former student John Lang's death.
John revealed the purity of his heart to me when he was fifteen. We maintained a steady flow of joy and sorrow, sharing over the years. His caring parents are neighbors; his brother Michael is cherished too. I was honored to hold John's trust.
When you love someone as much as I love those Lang boys, it's devastating. But, friends, what I want to tell you is that it's all worth it. Love, love, love. Don't hold back. He knew I loved him.
