Benjamin F. Warner, 94, of McSherrystown, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle–Hanover. He was the husband of Alice C. (Fowble) Warner who died January 6, 2017. Ben was born November 2, 1924 in Camden, NJ and retired after many years with the Railroad in Baltimore, MD. He proudly served in the Army during WWII receiving the European, African, Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four Bronze Stars. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and spending time with his family. Surviving are two children; Catherine Markle and husband Ronald of Abbottstown and Donald Warner of Potter County; four grandchildren, Rhonda Weaver and husband Brian, Eric Warner and wife Robyn, Athena Collins and husband Doug and Courtney Shren and husband Charlie; two great-granddaughters, Kerstyn Markle and Elena Warner. He was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Warner and a granddaughter Laurie Markle. Per Ben’s wishes the service and burial will be private. Memorial contributions in memory of Ben may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
