Larry F. “Lump” Weaver, 59, of Altoona, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Barbara “Bobbi Jo” (Borden) Weaver to whom he was married 35 years. Born September 22, 1959 in Hanover, he was the son of the late John E. and Violet O. (Miller) Weaver. Lump was the former partner of Weaver Brothers in Altoona. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Gettysburg and St. Matthew Catholic Church in Tyrone. In his younger years he and his wife were avid bingo players. He enjoyed baseball, watching the Pirates, Steelers and Penn State football, hunting, the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Jessica Dawson and Timothy Weaver and his companion Denise Kimmel; one granddaughter, Aubrianna; and six siblings, Elaine Hamm and husband David of Hanover, John Weaver Jr. and wife Linda of Biglerville, Wayne Weaver and companion Peggy Wilson of Hanover, Michael Weaver and companion Patricia Dias of McSherrystown, Darby Steele and husband Ernie of Spring Grove, Russell Weaver and wife Doris of New Oxford and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Bonneauville with Rev. Benny Jose as celebrant. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Avenue, McSherrystown with prayers at 8 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Carrie Steele-King, Wayne, Mike and Russell Weaver, Robert Shull, Terry Smith, Ernie Steele and Greg Robinson.
