Terry L. Sager Sr.

Terry L. “Turtle” “Ted” Sager Sr., 70, of Hanover, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Born November 12, 1947 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Melvin H. and Clara A. (Warner) Sager. Terry retired from Clarks Americas, in Hanover. He was a member of the New Oxford Social Club, and a life member of the McSherrystown Home Association. Terry enjoyed playing cards, gardening, watching horse races, and visiting Charlestown. He was also an avid Yankees and Jets fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are two children, Terry L. Sager Jr. and wife Monica of McSherrystown, and Hope Wright of Gettysburg; four grandchildren, Tiffany Sager and fiancé Olando Cummings, Terry L. Sager III, Sebastian Wright and companion Taylor Bryant, and Zachary Wright; six siblings, Larry Sager, Gordy Sager, Brad Sager, and Darlene Matthews all of Hanover, Darrell Sager of New Oxford, and Judy Korbal of Wisconsin. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Avenue, McSherrystown with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Burial will follow in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover. Friends and relatives will be received Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society, P.O. Box 98018, Washington DC, 20090-8018.
