as a teenager, I had the opportunity to share time with Charlie and his family. I was always treated like one
of the the gang. nothing but good memories
please accept my condolences, the loss of a loved one is never easy, and words cannot ease the pain in your hearts.
know that the good memories are something you will always
have, carry them with you wherever you go, and your dad/husband/grandfather will always be there with you

Mr. Hertz always welcomed us Friends of his Children in their home with open arms. He was always patient with all of us as if we were his own Children even when we were loud and stayed WAY too late! He was funny, compassionate, caring, and funny with all of us "youngsters"! Charlie had a great sense of humor and was very clever. Mr. Hertz understood, I believe, that a good joke always has some basis of truth. He did make us laugh...from age 14 thru adulthood! A Great Husband, Father, Role Model, and Example for all of us who met and got to know him! He truly had a blessed life with his outstanding Children and Grandchildren as proof of his excellence as a human being! He allowed us as we became adults to call him by his first name As we were now "Friends"! God bless you Charlie as God couldn't wait any longer to talk to you "face-to-face"! We will miss you, never forget you, and will think of you often! Thank you again my Classy "Friend" for all your kindness. See you in the near future Mr. Hertz. And we will laugh again!
