Margaret M. Sentz

Margaret M. “Margie” Sentz, 78, of McSherrystown, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the York Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Charles K. Sentz Jr. of McSherrystown. Born, April 26, 1939, in McSherrystown, she was the daughter of the late Leo W. and Mary Gertrude (Bollinger) Murren. Margie was retired from BAE Systems in York after 15 years of service, following her retirement she cleaned homes and businesses in the Hanover area in which she treated all her clients as family. She was a 1957 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, McSherrystown, a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, McSherrystown where she was a Eucharistic Minister, member of the choir and faithfully attended the Perpetual Adoration Chapel. Margie loved spending time with her family and friends and her special joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband, Charlie, are seven children, Anthony W. Sentz and companion Lori Miller of Jefferson, Andrew C. Sentz and fiancé Jody Wolf of Hanover, Karen E. Mack and husband David of Hanover, Joanne M. Koehler and husband Ernie of Kingsport, TN, Stephanie A. Emenheiser and husband Tim of York, Denise M. Ham and husband Christopher of Pittsburgh and Janine L. Walter and husband Howard III of New Oxford; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Murren of Newport News, VA and Lawrence J. Murren of New Oxford. She was preceded in death by a son Kenneth W. Sentz and a brother, Robert L. Murren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2018 at Annunciation Church, 26 N. Third St., McSherrystown with Rev. Charles L. Persing as celebrant. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown. Friends and relatives will be received Thursday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Avenue, McSherrystown with a prayer service held at 8 p.m. Contributions in memory of Margie may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
