My deepest sympathy to you Charlotte and Adam. I was surprised to hear of Chuck's passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers. He is in a better place and I am sure his smile will continue to radiant down on all of us. I never had Chuck as a teacher at Delone as he came to Delone my junior year. But certainly had many wonderful dealings with him after graduation. One was the surprise oil portrait of him, which the drama students commissioned me to do on short notice. Many fond memories for sure. He will be missed by all.

I was one of the fortunate children to have him as my principal at St. Patrick School in Carlisle. He was a wonderful man who always had a smile on his face and who cares about each and every student he came across. He brought all of the kids together so that we could all be friends. He provided a safe and fun environment for learning. We never had any worries like the children do of today. I have such very fond memories of him that have lasted me through the years. So very sad to hear of his passing. May his family find peace in the love and memories that so many of us have of this man. I never encountered another school administrator like him. He was a class act and one of a kind. Our prayers are with his family and friends at this time. God bless and may his soul Rest In Peace.

Condolences Glessner family. Mr. Glessner was one of my favorite teachers at Delone. His smile was infectious, his warmth and intelligence gifts for all, and his encouraging ways so appreciated. May his light continue to shine in the lives of all those he touched.

So sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. Condolence to the family. We went to school together in both Connelsville and at Saint Vincent Prep. He was always a good friend and as I remember very intelligent. (He helped me pass Latin) Only saw him once after we left Saint Vincent. That was on one of his trips to see the Hokies play here in Blacksburg VA. Sorry we did not see more of him. I know his faith tells us he is in a better place. Given his life's work with teaching, I am sure God has a special place for those like him who gave so much to future generations.

Mr. Glessner was a devoted teacher and I am sure responsible for many students like myself becoming teachers as well. I can only hope to touch the lives of my students as he certainly did. Rest In Peace Mr. Glessner, you will never be forgotten through the halls of Delone.RD. pY4N

I'm terribly sorry for the loss of a most excellent teacher.
Most sincere condolences to the family.
As a sophomore, I got to take his Shakespeare class (In a class for Juniors and Seniors - unbeknownst to him until the quarter was almost over!) and read some of the comedies aloud. He also introduced me to the Reduced Shakespeare Company, whom I still follow and try to catch when they're in town! RIP Mr. Glessner - thanks for making Shakespeare a part of my life!

Chuck was a great mentor. We learned a great deal from him - first as his students and later as his colleagues. He will be deeply missed.

I never had the privilege of having Mr. Glessner as a teacher, but always heard how great of a teacher he was. He always had the respect of all his students and I was always jealous of those student who had him. I did have the privilege of knowing him in later life as an adult. He was a wonderful person and a heck of a card player. it took him a few years and many drinks together to finally break me of calling him Mr. Glessner. His laugh was infectious and will be missed.
God speed Chuck. You can finally be at peace. Save a drink for me on the other side.
