Jean M. Conrad, 87, of McSherrystown, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, January 5, 2018 at The Brethren Home Community at Cross Keys Village, New Oxford. She was the loving wife of Richard F. Conrad to whom she was married 67 years. Born July 7, 1930 in Hanover, she was the daughter of Robert G. and Margaret C. (Kemper) Hagerman. Jean was a lifetime member of Annunciation Catholic Church and a 1948 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, McSherrystown. She retired from the Hanover General Hospital after 20 years of service as a Pharmacy Technician. She spent many years in her church as a Brownie Scout Leader, Lector, member of the funeral choir and making crafts for the annual Christmas Bazaar. Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter; Carla J. Johnson and husband Robert of Carlisle, two grandchildren; Stacy E. Brown and husband Matthew of East Petersburg and Brian Johnson of Carlisle, one great grandson; Carter Brown, one brother; Philip Hagerman of McSherrystown and two sisters; Barbara Clabaugh and Patricia McMaster both of Bonneauville. She was preceded in death by a son Stephen F. Conrad, four brothers; Robert, James, William and Richard Hagerman and a sister; Audrey Funk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Annunciation Catholic Church, McSherrystown with Rev. Charles L. Persing as celebrant. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave, McSherrystown with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Contributions in memory of Jean may be made to Annunciation Church Memorial Fund, 26 N. Third Street, McSherrystown, PA 17344 or The Brethren Home Foundation, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350-9582.

Dick, I was saddened to read of Jean's death. The picture of her was lovely. That is exactly how I remember her. I am out of town and will be unable to attend the funeral but I will have you in my thoughts and prayers.
