Sally A. Thoman, 70, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of Charles W. Thoman for 44 years. Born March 8, 1947 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nadine (Bittinger) Little. Sally was retired from Eisenhart Wall Coverings in Hanover. She was a volunteer and longtime member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Hanover, a member of the Amvets in Hanover, Hanover Area Parrot Head Society and a volunteer at the HART Center in New Oxford. Sally enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Susan G. Richardson and husband Legrand Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC, Melissa M. Altland and husband Drue and Sandra A. Lauer and husband Ernest all of Spring Grove and Danielle M. Smith and husband William F. Jr. of McSherrystown; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Lawrence Little of Mechanicsburg, Susan Little of McSherrystown, Thomas Little and Christine Harner both of Hanover. She was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Scott Thoman and a grandson, Chase M. Altland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Hanover with Rev. John A. Szada Jr. as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery, Hanover. Friends and relatives will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Avenue, McSherrystown, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be, Cody Klinedinst, Cole Altland, Alika, Keoni, Maleko, Nakana and Enoka Lauer. Contributions in memory of Sally may be made to St. Vincent Church, 220 Third St. Hanover, PA 17331 or HART Center, 450 E. Golden Lane, New Oxford, PA 17350.

Very sorry to hear of Sally's passing. While we did not know her, we always waved in passing at the campground and remember her smiling. Our prayers are with you and your family in this time of sadness. May you find comfort in your memories.
