Michael A. Terry
Mike “AMAZING” Terry spent 56 years on this earth. God looked around his garden and found an empty place, and then He looked down upon the earth and saw your face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful…..He always takes the best. Born and raised in Hanover by his mother, Gloria J. Snyder. He will have the honor of seeing his father, Earl W. Terry, and his grandparents that he has not seen in a long time. Thirty years ago, he met his best friend and walked into an instant family. He is survived by his wife, Teena Terry; children, Tara (Shawn) Wolford and Shawn (Nicole) Noel; 8 grandchildren, Ethan, Kameran, Kaylie, Brenden, Ayden, Aubrey, Brantley, and Emma Sarah. We want him to know he did an “AMAZING” job as a husband, father, and Pappy. He also leaves behind his siblings, Cathy (Jerry) Mullinix, Lori (Bob) Meminger, and Chuck Terry; nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mike graduated from New Oxford High School in 1979. He worked 35 years at Hanover Direct as a Manager until it closed in 2001 and then went to a Manager at Lowes of Hanover. He was an avid fisherman and belonged to the South Central PA Bassmasters District 111. He was a member of the McSherrystown Fish & Game Assoc. Mike also loved hunting, gardening, and nature itself. He loved spending time with his wife, children and “LiL” peeps. He made everyone he talked to feel like they were the most important person in the world. Mike made you want to be the selfless person he was. He was One of A Kind!! He was our Hero!! He will be deeply missed and always in our hearts. Following cremation a visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave. McSherrystown. Burial will be held privately.
