Mildred A. Hinkle

Mildred A. Hinkle, 79, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday April 1, 2017 at her home.  Born July 2, 1937 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Jacob R. Little and Pauline E. (Kuhn) Little Alwine.  Millie was retired from the Dutch Country Restaurant in Hanover after 10 years of service. She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  Surviving are four children; Debra McMaster and husband David of Yorkville, IL, Victoria Black and husband John of New Oxford, Scott McIntyre and wife Tina of Dillsburg and Robert “Bo” Hinkle and wife Tiffany of York Springs, 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, three siblings; Dolores “Dolly” Zepp of Hanover, George Little of Hanover and Brenda Uhler of New Oxford. She was preceded in death by a daughter; Katherine C. McIntyre and three siblings; Rosemary Hahn, Margaret Swope and Donald J. “Butch” Little.  Following cremation a Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, with her sister Rev. Dolores Zepp officiating. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown. Friends and relatives will be received Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.  Contributions in memory of Millie may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
