Kum Pun “Chong” Lawrence, 78, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Hanover Hospital. She was the companion of 37 years to Michael McGlynn. She was born July 23, 1938 in Seoul, South Korea. Chong was retired from Snyder’s of Hanover with over 20 years of service. She was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove. She loved cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her companion are two sons, Thomas A. Storms Jr. and his companion Wendy Waltermyer, and Timothy A. Storms, all of Hanover; a daughter-in-law, Annette Storms of New Oxford; three grandchildren, Courtney Storms and her companion Travis Garman, Brittney Storms and Brandon Williams; and two great-grandchildren, Braydon and Brielle Williams. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, with Rev. Joseph R. Howard as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. Friends and relatives will be received Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave, McSherrystown, with a prayer service held at 8 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Garman, Brandon Williams, Dan Bahn and Bernie Robinson.
