Patricia A. Goemaere

Patricia A. Goemaere of Walkersville, MD passed away Friday, November, 18, 2016 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of David R. Goemaere to whom she was married 54 years.  She was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Josephine E. (Foley) Labadie.  Pat was retired from Harford County Health Department. She was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Walkersville and formerly a member of Sacred Heart Basilica, Hanover. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, baking and cooking. She loved taking care of everyone, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Surviving in addition to her husband are three children; Anthony J. Goemaere and his wife Renee of Fayetteville, GA, Russell D. Goemaere and his wife Danielle Webber of Honolulu, HI, and Sharon A. Goemaere-Engel of Finksburg, MD, eight grandchildren; Adrienne Williams, David, Paige, Russell, Robert and Patrick Goemaere, Jacob and Samantha Engel, two great-grandchildren; Christopher and Isiah Williams, four siblings; Richard Labadie of Harbor Springs, MI, Barbara Labadie of Beverly Hills, MI, Joann DesRosiers of Birmingham, MI and Paul Labadie of Harrisville, MI.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Sacred Heart Basilica, Hanover with Rev. Joseph R. Howard as celebrant.. Burial will be private. Friends and relatives will be received Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Avenue, McSherrystown, with recitation of the rosary at 8 p.m.  Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Contributions in memory of Pat may be made to Sacred Heart School, 55 Basilica Drive, Hanover, PA 17331.

Dave and family- So sorry to hear about Pat's passing. She was a great person to work with and she did a good job with our clients. I hope she enjoyed her retirement years and spent time with family and friends. Condolences to everyone from all of her coworkers in the Harford county WIC program.
