Richard M. Wagner, 78, of Littlestown, entered into God’s eternal care Monday, October 3, 2016, at Snyder Memorial Health Care in Marienville. He was the husband of Thelma J. (Guinn) Wagner his wife of 56 years.  Born September 18, 1938 in Hanover, he was the son of Gladys (Baumgardner) Wise of Hanover and the late Christian Wagner.  Richard was retired from York International after 47 years of service. He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Littlestown. A member of the Mall Walkers Assoc. and a life member of SAVES and the New Oxford Social and Athletic Assoc. Richard was a veteran serving in the US Army. He was an avid sports and NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to auctions, camping and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandson.  Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are four children; Patricia Castelnuovo and her husband Alex and Steven Wagner and his companion Joden Anderson all of McSherrystown, Peggy Wagner and her companion Donnie Keefer of Littlestown and Dr. Melvin Wagner and his wife Hope of Gettysburg; nine grandchildren; Brandon and Austin Castelnuovo, Jordan, Kristin and Allison Wagner, Paige and Bryce Edmiston and Lennon and Jude Ellis; one great-grandson; Mason Stem, five siblings; Donald Wagner of Selinsgrove, Audrey Dehaven of East Berlin, Gary Little and Fred Little both of Hanover and Victoria Nicholson of New Oxford. He was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Wagner.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 7 at Christ UCC, 131 Christ Church Rd, Littlestown, with Pastor Craig E. Arentz officiating. Burial will follow at Christ UCC Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Friends and relatives will be received Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Avenue, McSherrystown.  Serving as pallbearers will be Alex, Brandon and Austin Castelnuovo, Bryce Edmiston, Lennon Ellis and Donnie Keefer.  Contributions in memory of Richard may be made to; Ronald McDonald House, 745 W Governor Rd, Hershey, PA 17033.
