Raymond J. “Ike” Conrad, Jr., 73, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care, Friday, September 30, 2016 at his home with family by his side. He was the husband of Joyce E. (Rhinehart) Conrad to whom he was married 53 years. Born January 28, 1943 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Raymond J. Conrad, Sr. and Mildred (Whisler) Conrad. Ike was retired from Master Brand in Littlestown. He was a 1960 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a member of the McSherrystown Moose, Hanover Home and Hanover Republican Club and a member of the McSherrystown Knights of Columbus where he was a fourth degree member of the Father Cyril J. Allwein Assembly. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed going to Ocean City and spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children; Christine Gobrecht and her husband Greg, Timothy Conrad and his wife Denise and Cathy Sneeringer all of Hanover, five grandchildren, Alex and Jillian Gobrecht; Tori and Taylor Conrad and Patrick Sneeringer, three sisters; Barbara Staub of Hanover; Rebecca Yealy of Littlestown and Cecilia Conrad of Hanover. He was preceded in death by a sister; Sylvia Conrad. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, with Rev. Msgr. James M. Lyons as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Ike may be made to; VNA/ Hospice, 440 N. Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331
