Adolfine “Finny” Staub, 77, of Glenville, entered into God’s eternal care Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at the Brethren Home Community in New Oxford. She is survived by her husband Stephen F. Staub; they were together for 50 years. Born June 19, 1938 in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Johan and Anna (Slabby) Jaborek. Finney was employed as a cook with the Hofbrauhaus in Abbotstown. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, birdwatching and especially watching her great-grandson. Surviving also are three children; Edward Jury and Francis Jury both of Glenville and Christina Duncan of Hanover; two grandchildren; Jodi and Danielle, and one great-grandson; Wyatt; two siblings; Juliana Wright and her husband Philip of York Springs and Hans Jaborek and his wife Joyce of Virginia Beach, VA. She was preceded in death by a son Anthony J. Jury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover, with Rev. Msgr. James M. Lyons as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hanover. Relatives and friends will be received Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, with a prayer service held at 8p.m. Contributions in memory of Finny may be made to St. Joseph Church or School; 5055 Grandview Rd, Hanover, PA 17331. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Brethren Home Community, for the care and attention given to Adolfine.
