Me and Dalton were not super close, but we had a Group together. He was always so positive and respectful, and he would make this funny face at me and we would just crack up laughing. He was kind and funny and good, and I wish I had more time to laugh with him. He was an amazing friend.

I worked at the littlestown pool for a couple years. Dalton was one of the only real friends I made while I was there. He was such a sweet kid and very mature for his age too. One time I was having a really bad day at the pool and he brought me my favorite candy to make me feel better. I know there's not really anything I could say to make this better but he truly made an impact on my life and I will always miss him.

I am so sorry for your loss...My son Jackson was a friend of Dalton's and he speaks very highly of Dalton and how Dalton could always make him laugh, put a smile on his face and other classmates, always willing to help him with lifting. He has many good memories with Dalton from football, to the Ltown pool, and riding bikes at the park. My husband coached Dalton on the Thunder football team and says Dalton was a great kid and no one worked harder than Dalton. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.....

I am so sorry for your loss. Please know my heart goes out to the entire family. Stephen talked about Dalton so much and we could see the happiness he brought to your lives. Stephen was always so proud of how good Dalton was at wrestling. Cherish those car rides and memories. This definitely makes a person hug family and friends a little tighter. We never know when our last day together will be. May God bless your family.

Our prayers go out to the Persing Family. I was blessed to be able to coach this young man in football for a couple years. Dalton was a "natural" athlete that gave 100% all the time, with a heart the size of Texas. Such a tragedy here on earth, but God just got a "good one". I'll see you at the gates when it's my time "Big D". Amen!

My heart is broken, hearing about the loss of Dalton! I did not know him but my son was in a study hall with him. I can not even begin to fathom the pain you must be going through right now! Please know that the family is in my prayers! Rest in God and receive His peace during this time.

Dalton over the course of 4 years became a person I could tell anything to. He always knew how to cheer someone up and put a smile on your face or know when you needed a hug. He would always thank me for hugging him even when he was always a sweaty mess, whether it was from sports or at a dance when he was dancing all around. He was truly a wonderful person. We will all miss him so much. 💙 I love you Dalton, and I wish I could give him another big hug :)
